Things Idiots Say #5
Question: what do you do about the homeless problem?
"I feel their pain, and I do not want any American to be homeless, especially children. The best thing I can do for these children is make sure their parents have jobs...and that is why we have been working hard to create jobs for teachers, law enforcement, construction projects...."
-Barack Hussein Obama

....yeah, b/c there are a bunch of qualified teachers and cops living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere YOU FREAKING IDIOT.

The other side of the looking glass: AIG can save us all.
AIG has a opportunity here, folks. Congress has thrown them a hanging curveball, and it is right in their wheelhouse if they will just pull the trigger. AIG can make amends to us, the taxpayers, by taking this one over the green monster...even off the warehouse....
When Congress demands the execs who received bonuses come "testify" before them, TELL CONGRESS TO SCREW OFF.
Congess works for us, the taxpayers. Someone needs to put them in their place. Obviously, in their unprecedented self importance, Congress is going to issue subpoenas to force the execs to come before the inquisition and be "purified". Let them come. Make Pelosi and Frank send the US Marshalls after you. Make sure the TV cameras SEE the US Marshalls (or Congress' SS) come take you in handcuffs out of your houses. Make the American people see that Congress has a blatant disregard for the laws of the United States. It might just be what we need to finally get up and take our country back. It will be a bloodless Boston Massacre...and god willing, a bloodless American Revolution to follow, finally bringing "the change we need".
Gut check time, AIG. Are you going repent for your poor judgement and fight the real criminals, or are you going to be summoned like a dog and fall on the sword for Congress? WWFD- What Would the (Founding) Fathers Do?

Things Idiots Say #4
"It is one thing to say, ‘I hope that this guy's proposed policies don't pass. I hope those don't become the policies of our country.’ But once they become the policies of the country, and they are designed to save us from this economic collapse, you ought to hope they succeed, unless you are hoping for your country to suffer worse in an economic collapse. I mean, actually rooting for the failure of your own federal government is pretty creepy."
-Rachel Maddow, MSNBC Host
March 4, 2009
Oh..my...god. So first of all, you are admitting that you actually DO understand Rush hopes the policies do not pass, thus logically suggesting you are deliberately lying about the whole "want our president (as opposed to his policies) to fail" thing just to build faux-support. Secondly, how in God's name can you say "...rooting for the failure of your own federal government is pretty creepy" with a straight face? What have you been doing for the past 8-years? Accountibility is dead.

Where's the Beef?
So over the weekend, I had a great conversation with a well-respected (and a rarity- an independent thinker) friend about the current economic situation. In the absence of the usual liberal garbage talking points, I was actually introduced to a few legitimate points worthy of my thoughts...
"He (Obama) is trying to stimulate the economy"
We are just going to have to agree to disagree here. I do not believe he is trying to stimulate the economy at all. I think he is just following his marching orders of the People's Democratic Party. I think they have identified that due to the unpopularity of George Bush and the economic recession, they have a limited window to push through the agenda that has repeatedly failed
for the last 10 years, as they can blame everything that is unpopular on Bush or say "we're trying to fix the economy". SWAT teams do the same thing- it's called flashbang grenades. I do not believe that he or the Democrat Machine care about anything more than their political careers and the Party agenda. They have decided what they think is good for all of us, and now for them it is about "winning".
"It isn't going to get better immediately...it's going to take time"
Of course it takes time. That is how a free-market capitalist economy works. The market goes up and down. When it goes down, over time it goes back up. The problem is that in a year or two, the market is going to go back up anyway. That's just how it works. As mentioned above, this is part of the Democratic smokescreen. First, they are going to say "look what our policies did" when it had nothing at all to do with our conversion to Socialism. Second, right now they are saying "this is going to take a year or so", which is convenient since that is how long is is going to take anyway. So basically they have set it up to where they have about one year to do anything they want under the cover of "we're working on it", and then when the market recovers anyway, they are going to take credit for it. Why is Socialism, or the "New new deal" not going to work? Jeff Macke, of Capital Strategies, had some good thoughts:
"Scared people don't spend. Americans are scared because no one's in charge and the plans that they hear don't make sense."
Since Obama took office on Jan. 20, the Dow has lost 900 points. "If the president changes his tune even a little bit, it's almost impossible to be worse in terms of his tone - if he improves a little bit, we can get 2,000 points out of this easily," Macke added.
As I've been saying, the market doesn't approve of Socialism. If you really want to stimulate the economy, step one is to reach out to business and show us that you are going to actually support the economy. Talk is cheap. Show up or shut up.
"We need to invest in renewable industry"
Renewable industry is a good idea. Clean coal? Fine. I agree this is something we need to pursue. Does this stimulate the economy of a country in a recession? No. There is a market for it, true. Business is going to move in that direction anyway, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have Government incentives. While this is a good idea, this is like shooting spitwads at a tank. Business is cyclical. We don't invent things and then rest on our laurels. We understand product life-cycles. Business, by definition, is renewable. Humanity will always have needs, and business is always evolving to fill them. Get out of the way.
"We need to stimulate the people, and they will stimulate business"
We did that once already by giving people a tax refund, including some people who don't pay taxes (which i'm still trying to figure out). It didn't really work. Why? Because a lot of (smart) people didn't spend it. The same thing happened when they gave the banks all that coin. They put it in the safe. What about jobs? Should we create jobs for the people? YES. The problem: it has to be perpetual and productive. The government jobs, as the current administration has been pushing, are not perpetual nor are productive. So you go hire people to construct a building or a road....what happens when it is finished? You lose your job. Not only that, but what about all the jobless people who are not construction workers? What about the laid off accountants? On top of that, how does a road contribute to the economy? Ok, you can drive to some business. Chances are, you can drive there now. Furthermore, government organizations do not produce anything. They provide jobs for a limited amount of people, and do not increase the wealth or the GDP. Private industry, on the other hand, contribute to the GDP, the market, and creates jobs exponentially. As the business grows, the jobs grow. Their vendors also grow.
Finally, wealth and the economy is not as simple as having a job. While a job does give you a paycheck, a large portion of the wealth in this county resides in the stock market. Giving people jobs does not create stock market wealth. Stock market wealth, however, gives people more jobs. It creates the largest single source of capital for business growth and expansion, including creating new jobs.

Why this is NOT the Obamination's fault..
I sit here and rip on the Bamster on a daily basis. I have nightmares about his vision for America. I read the liberal newspapers every day and am guaranteed to have a new topic to set me off. It appears these days that almost every single thing they do or say ticks me off. The current collapse (economically, socially and otherwise) we are in is NOT Obama's fault, however. While Obama does lie on a daily basis through his non-sequiter arguments and political doublespeak, he has been true to his campaign promises- foster class warfare and bring "the change we need". Whos' fault is this mess? To 56% of America- IT IS YOUR FAULT.
You voted for this change. I mean...it makes total sense...we were the world's leading superpower with the highest standard of living on the planet. OBVIOUSLY we would want to change that, right? Everyone keeps talking about the "average American" who is "dumb" and "stupid". Is that what the "average American" has become??? It was the "average American" who picked up his soon-to-be-outlawed 1770's version-of-the-assault-rifle and fought and won freedom from the most powerful nation on earth at the time. It was the "average American" who moved across the plains, blazing new trails and exploring the plains, Rockies and Pacific coast. It was the "average American" who opened factories in the 1880's and worked in the plants to make us an industrialized nation. It was the "average American" who fought for freedom in 2 world wars. It was the "average American" who made this country what it is (or what it was, anyway). So how then , can we say that the "average American" is "stupid" and "dumb"? Have they become so?
Today we think of the "average American" and a blue collar worker who works 40 hours a week and goes home to sit on their duff and watch "American Idol", "Lost" or "The Bachelor". Note: the news is not anywhere in there. By their own admission, they "do not care" or consider themselves "apathetic". Did the "average American 233 years ago "not care"? Did the "average American" talk about the "horrors" of Teddy Roosevelt and his big stick policy? No. They didn't.
They also did not spend money they didn't have. Well, technically they did, and those that did lost their house. We seem to think that we live in some bubbly fantasy world where the streets are paved with chocolate and we have gumdrop stoplights. We are like toddlers who say "I want that" and then cry when we can't get it. Not having a recliner or a plasma TV is seen as "suffering". Nevermind that kids are stepping on Russian landmines in Afghanistan or starving to death in Ethiopia. You are "suffering"....from what? 8 years of George Bush? Did George Bush sign that mortgage you cannot afford? Did George Bush decide buy that gas-guzzling car in your driveway that you complain about filling up at high gas prices? Did George Bush invest your life savings into non-tangible assets of no set value known as "stocks"? NO. Did Barack Obama? NO. YOU DID.
Our political system is broken for one clear reason- there will never be a politician who is going to stand up and say "We're in a crisis, and you know what? It's our fault. We did this to ourselves. No, you cannot have that because we cannot afford it. No, I am not going to help you because you need to start by helping yourself. No, it is not McDonald's fault you spilled hot coffee on yourself...you, ma'am, are an idiot."
So the question I ask myself almost every single day- How did the same person who picked up his musket, risked his life and sacrificed everything for his principals become the abomination that we have today that sits on his couch watching 30 Rock or Larry King, feeling sorry for himself and blaming "the man" for getting laid off? How did we become a society of people who would rather buy rims and pimp their ride rather than take care of their kids, only to blame Bush for not having a good life? How did we become a society where a murderer is not guilty of murder, because he is a victim of a harsh society?
Is Obama bringing change? Yep. Did you vote for it? Yep. When Obama bankrupts the country and turns us into a socialist democracy, who's fault is it, really?
.....Your fault.

Serious or Satire ? (#3)
"NEW YORK- On Tuesday, liberal talk radio host Stephanie Miller called Rush Limbaugh's now well-publicized statement about wanting Barack Obama to fail "treasonous," and wondered if he should be executed for saying such a thing."
(Again, a real headline. Apparently she doesn't realize that charges of treason and subsequent executions would have resulted in a mass genocide of the Democratic party from 2000-2008)

"Why the downturn? Part of it may have to do with the lessened reliance on the federal government for jobs, leading to a higher susceptibility to economic trouble. 39% of the economy was driven by the federal government in 1991 and only 31% in 2007."

"NEW YORK- A top U.N. official accused the United States of committing inhuman "atrocities" in Iraq and Afghanistan during a speech Wednesday to the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. "The aggressions against Iraq and Afghanistan and their occupations constitute atrocities that must be condemned and repudiated by all who believe in the rule of law in international relations," said U.N. Explaining the Constitution- 2nd Amendment
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
This one is pretty easy. The only reason this is even really discussed is because the Constitution is once again standing squarely between liberals and their agenda. It is simply the parsing of words, just like the definition of "is" or "earmark" (or "Socialist").
regulate- v. 1. to adjust for accurate or proper functioning. 2. to put or maintain in order.
Militia - n. 1. An army of trained civilians, potentially called upon in time of need; 2. the entire able-bodied population or a private force, not under government control.
arms- n. 1. an instrument of attack or defense in combat, e.g. a gun, missile, or sword;
2. an instrument or other means of harming or exerting control over another
infringe- v. 1. to encroach, break or violate a standing agreement, right, contract, etc.
So for those of you that appear to have difficulty comprehending the English language, I have translated:
"A well ordered and properly functioning able-bodied population, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear instruments of attack and defense in combat, shall not be encroached, broken or violated."
What is so difficult to understand about that?
Was the DC gun ban unconstitutional? Obviously. The common babble I get back on this is "but people don't need machine guns"- sorry to break it to you, but that is not for you to decide. I think it is pretty clear. It does not say "the right of the people to keep hunting rifles, pepper spray and stun guns shall not be infringed". It also does not say "shall not be infringed with the following exceptions.....". It clearly, in very plain English, says "ARMS...SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. (period)"
I ticks me off that our society is so corrupt that this even needs to be explained.

Liberals Anonymous- the 12 step plan
1. We admitted we were powerless over Liberalism—that our lives had become miserable and dependant.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of our interpretation of "God" as we understood Him/Her.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to ourselves, and to another human beings the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to remove all these defects of character, such as demonizing George Bush or supporting murderers like Ted Kennedy.
7. Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings and help us become streetsmart to the ways of the real world.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all, including all Vietnam Veterans, Military personnel, 9/11 victims, laid-off union workers, taxpayers, etc.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. (i.e. Do it on your own)
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with ourselves, we have become fulfilled, productive and moral people.
12. Having had an awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to liberals, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

National Liberalism Awareness Month
So over the past few weeks, I been looking around at all the awareness being raised- Black History month, Breast Cancer awareness, Women's Cardiovascular Disease awareness, AIDS awareness, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc. While these are all good causes, it bothers me that the #1 plague affecting the country today, more so than AIDS or Cancer, does not have its own awareness program.
As such, I propose making March "National Liberalism Awareness Month".
This works out great because it perfectly coincides with Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Let's look at our objective here:
awareness n 1: having knowledge of; "Voters had no awareness of his lack of credibility";[syn: {consciousness}, {cognizance}, {cognisance}, {knowingness}]
2: state of elementary or undifferentiated consciousness; "the farcical policies enacted by the Obama administration destroyed his savings and finally intruded on his awareness" [syn: {sentience}]
My blog is going to be almost entirely dedicated to raising said awareness.
Now I am not one to try to be convincing. I have been called "arrogant" and "abrasive". Let me set the record straight. What is the difference between "arrogance" and "confidence"? Both say what they think and think they are in the right. The Arrogant person insists she/he is correct and beats the opposition down. The Confident person does not insist anything, and calmly respects your right to be incorrect. If you choose to support policies that do not work, were not designed to work, and are plain dishonest, I calmly respect your right to be an idiot...which leads into being "abrasive". If you truly believe in yourself, no amount of verbal bombardment should bother you if you actually believe what you say. While being abrasive is not ideal, I do not feel any need to reach out to a group of people who are actively attempting to destroy my way of life...look what happened to the American Indians?
So why not be convincing? Because people will not be convinced. I think it must be human nature to resist facing your faults. If you have spent the last 5, 10, 50 or 60 years making the world a worse place, why would you ever want to repent? I would be completely horrified if one day I had the realization that I owed the entire world an apology. So what do we do? We put it on lockdown. How many people do you think voted for Bill "Slick Willly" Clinton and then said "oh my god?! What have I done? The man is completely unethical and has no regard for the laws of our country! I'd better not make that mistake again"? Hardly any, as he was elected twice. How many people said "You know, I don't like Bush, but this radical hatemongering is totally ridiculous."? Not many, b/c they elected the Obamination. In our darkest hours, though, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
What good can come of this? Well, if we hadn't had King George, there would have been no George Washington. If we hadn't had Jimmy Carter, there would have been no Ronaldus Magnus. If we hadn't had Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy "Jack in the box" Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid, there wouldn't have been ....... ? Although we may be walking through the valley of the shadow of death, the next chapter has yet to be written. Those who refuse to look within at their ideological mistakes, refuse to make the world a better place, and refuse to *CHANGE*, have an opportunity here. It is a get-out-of-jail-free card. The OPR (Obama-Pelosi-Reid) regime is well on their way to screwing everything up so badly....for years to come...that you can say "whoa.....hold on. This is ridiculous. This is NOT the party I have been supporting. You people have gone crazy." You can pick yourself up by your bootstraps and say "enough of this crap. I am better than this". You can help right the ship. If you want Socialism- fine with me. Go make California an independent territory and it can be a socialist state, but do NOT take my country and my way of life that has been here for 250 years and change it. That is what the Nazis did to Europe. As as result, we rose up and relegated them to history books. I pray that there will never be a need for another such uprising, as hopefully we learn from our history. Nobody faulted Nazi defectors, and nobody will fault liberated-liberals either. Alcoholics reform all the time. It is tough, but they say "you know what? I'm done with this. I am better than this." If you really care about humanity, save yourselves. We can start a support group right now- "LA" - Liberals Anonymous.
The first step towards solving a problem is accepting that it exists.
As such, I propose making March "National Liberalism Awareness Month".
